  It is Great Strides time again.

 I am so thankful for all of your continued support through out these years. With your help such advacements have been made in treatments, therapies and medications to help all patients fighting the battle of CF. It has been exciting to see some people we know benefitting from these advancements. The most exciting day for us was the day Trikafta arrived. This day was  unexplainable to watch in minutes it changed Alexandria's life. We are closer  to a CURE but not there yet. That is why continued fundraising is so important. 

    I look forward to the day I will be saying Alexandria and Aundrianna are cured  of this awful disease. But for now, despite the battles they face daily, they continue to teach me how to live without Cystic Fibrosis defining us. The numerous medications and treatments can at times be overwhelming however, they make it  only a small part of them.

   Aundrianna,  is 21 and a Senior at the University of Alabama. She is majoring in Criminal Justice with a double minor in Business Administration and Communicaton studies. She is currently applying to Law School. With all of this she keeps a balance of taking care of herself to keep healthy.

Alexandria is a Realtor with Keller Williams on the water. She loves helping people buy/sell/invest in real estate. She is a member of her KW office Leadership committee. She is also a member of The Junior League of Sarasota and is the chair of the Hospitality committee and is the Treasurer for theSaraMana Alabama Alumni chapter. Never letting CF stop her, She continues to rally on.

I am blessed and thankful for my two beautiful daughters, and I am so proud of both of them.

    As I look back over these past 19 years the time has gone so fast. The journey we have traveled has included hospital stays, doctors visits, home treatments, and medications all seem endless. I can say I am so proud of Alexandria and Aundrianna for always striving to be positive and do their best. Living each day to the fullest. They help bring out the best in everything. As I see them fight daily I will forever do my part to raise money and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis.

     So once again I am participating in the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Great Strides walk to raise funds for CF,
Saturday September 30th on Siesta Key Beach registration begins at 8 am.

 Great Strides is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's largest national fundraising event, with tens of thousands of people coming together at walks across the country each year to help find a cure for CF. Great Strides walks are family-friendly events with food, fun, and music.  Please join me at our local Great Strides walk on Siesta Key.

 Your participation will help fuel lifesaving research and medical programs that make a difference for people living with this disease. 

 Real progress has been made in the fight against CF, but the lives of young people with the disease are still cut far too short. We urgently need more support to help find a cure.
