Once again it’s time to put on sneakers, tie laces, and join Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Great Strides Walk in Sarasota on October 19th and support our ELLA’S EXPRESS Team to raise money to support research and find a cure for this life threatening genetic disease that progressively limits the ability to breathe and tragically shortens lives.
Ella has started her second year at the University of South Florida and is now “living on her own” doing her treatments and medications without parental “nagging”!
She will also transition to the adult CF Care at USF/Tampa General Hospital and will miss her team at All Children's Hospital as they took great care of our girl for 19 years. We can see that Ella has more healthy days due to the develoment of Trikaftor and has had a good year but will be having another surgery in November to hopefully clear up her nasal passages and provide relief from headaches and nasal congestion.
We really hope to have your continued support. It is because of you that there are more adults living with CF, the average age is still increasing, children and adults with CF are suffering less, and there are promising drugs moving forward that could potentially cure CF.
We continue to believe that there will be a cure in Ella’s lifetime and CF can then stand for Cure Found! Although great strides have been made, work is far from over.
Please consider a donation of any amount.
Thank you!
