Dear friends and family,
Once again, I am participating in the Great Strides walk to cure cystic fibrosis. I started doing this walk in 1993 as a way to honor my best friend Janis, who died of the disease in 1991 at the age of 19. This is my 32nd consecutive year of doing this walk!
Janis was in college majoring in Elementary Education when she succumbed to this disease. I often think of how many lives she could have touched if hers was not cut short. I do this walk so that others who live with CF will have the opportunity to live their dreams that she did not.
I will be walking on October 19th at Siesta Key Beach!
