My Great Strides Story

There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis. By participating in Great Strides, I am helping to end this disease for thousands of people impacted by CF.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. The symptoms can vary from person to person, and as people with CF live longer than ever before, their disease can become more complicated, leading to serious health issues.  

My beautiful eldest daughter Millie was diagnosed with this debilitating disease aged 3 weeks.  It has affected her life and continues to do so BUT, she is strong, she is determined, she is a fighter and she will never let this condition get in the way of her goals and ambitions.  That is why I am supporting her and the CF Foundation in their fundraising because what they do makes a difference to Millie and to thousands of others living and managing this condition.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has made extraordinary progress — including fostering the development of more than a dozen CF treatments — but these treatments are not a cure and not everyone can benefit from them. We must keep going.
