Thank you so much for Joining and/or donating to team ULTRAVIOLET !!!!!
Violet is now two years old and prefers the word No in most cases! Typical! Other than that, the terrible two's are wonderful. Violet is having a great time being silly as usual. She's learning to count, say her abc's, drawing abstract images and is developing a beautiful singing voice. Her favorite song to sing currently is Happy birthday!
Violet has a daily regiment of inhaled saline and percussion vest which she handles very well. She knows vest time = Peppa Pig time. We are so hopeful for violets future with the release of Trikafta and we pray that she stays healthy until she is able to start this life changing therapy.
During the summer of 2019, Violet contracted Pseudomonas and had to take oral and inhaled antibiotics for a month. She handled it like a champ and the pseudo was eradicated. Thank you God!
We are so incredibly in love with our little girl, but are often reminded of the difficult times ahead. We have hope! The research and development of CF therapies and treatments are enhancing the lives of people born with this disease. There is still along way to go before a cure is found, but with donations from generous people like you, it is possible.
Thank you so much for caring and supporting the cause.
Important note on Attendance at Foundation Events:
Infections can exacerbate CF symptoms and worsen lung function, so we ask attendees at Foundation-sponsored events to observe the following best practices to reduce the risk of germ transmission:
Regularly wash hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand gel.
Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your inner elbow.
Maintain a safe 6-foot distance from anyone with a cold or infection.
To further reduce the risk of cross-infection, the Foundation’s attendance policy recommends that all people with CF maintain a safe 6-foot distance from each other at all times while attending an outdoor Foundation-sponsored event. All Great Strides walks are non-smoking events.
