Once again we are fundraising for Eamonn's Energy with all funds we raise going towards the CFF and our Great Strides walk team!
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. They fund more CF research than any other organization, and nearly every CF drug available today was made possible because of Foundation support. The CFF is a nonprofit donor-supported organization dedicated to defeating this progressive, degenerative disease. The CFF supports the development of new drugs to fight the symptoms of CF, improve the quality of life for those with CF, and ultimately to find a cure. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is one of the most efficient organizations of its kind. More than $.90 of every dollar donated goes directly to research.
Thanks to sponsors like you, our fundraising team, “team” Eamonn’s Energy has raised over $150,000 since our fundraising efforts began 10 years ago. With each passing year, illness, and hospitalization I feel more anxious and desperate to do what I can to raise money for a cure. This past year we’ve watched Eamonn become winded more easily, his energy, appetite and endurance not what it once was. He was hospitalized again this past year and more antibiotics have been added to his daily routine.
The antibiotics which help him fight infections and maintain lung health every day were developed through CFF supported research between 1993 and 2004. While we remain thankful for the gains in research that Eamonn benefits from, we are currently very concerned with the health of Eamonn’s lungs. We truly feel like we are in a race against the clock to find a cure for Eamonn.
This year, Eamonn has been healthy and so far hospital free, something that I hesitate to say out loud as life can change on a dime we're learned. We cherish the healthy days needless to say. Cherish every one of them.
Please support us! Join the team and/or make a donation!!

Foundation-Sponsored Indoor and Outdoor Events and Gatherings
The Foundation is closely following the evolving coronavirus outbreak. We will continue to monitor coronavirus guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and assess whether we need to change any scheduled events.
To reduce the risk of getting and spreading germs at CF Foundation-sponsored events, we ask that everyone follow basic best practices by regularly cleaning your hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand gel, covering your cough or sneeze with a tissue or your inner elbow, and maintaining a safe 6-foot distance from anyone with a cold or infection. Medical evidence shows that germs may spread among people with CF through direct and indirect contact, as well as through droplets that travel short distances when a person coughs or sneezes. These germs can lead to worsening symptoms and speed decline in lung function.
To further help reduce the risk of cross-infection, the Foundation's attendance policy recommends inviting only one person with CF to attend the indoor portion of a Foundation-sponsored event at a specific time. For the outdoor portion, the Foundation recommends that all people with CF maintain a safe 6-foot distance from each other at all times.
