Dear Family and Friends
The last 2 years have been hard on all of us. People have seen medical, financial and emotional stress like never before. Every decision we make for ourselves and our families is altered by the weight of an awful 5 letter word... COVID.
This year saw Brianna return to in person school- much to our distress. The constant worry of exposure when she is out of our care has kept us up some nights. Is she sanitizing? Is she keeping both of her masks on properly? Is she far enough away from others when she is removing her mask to eat? It is only because we know how much her teacher cares and looks out for her that in person learning was possible this year... and in that we have been more than blessed. The looming decision as to whether or not to remove the mask mandate in schools has extra meaning- and stress- to us. I pray daily that common sense and understanding win in the end.
While this year has been tough- Brianna has been tougher. She is thriving. 3rd Grade has brought her a new level of confidence and joy. She has enjoyed weekly ballet class and in the fall getting out to watch Nolan play soccer. Her little brother continues to support her at every turn.. and in just a few weeks Brianna's entourage will grow by two tiny feet. We are so thankful to have been able to give Brianna two lifetime supporters who will help her fight this war on CF.
We are excited that this year’s walk brings us back in person on May 22. We hope that we are able to get some of Brianna’s friends to join us at the beautiful Lyndhurst castle. If you are available to walk with us we would be more than thrilled to have you join our team!!
Once again we thank you for your love and prayers. We thank you for your support and for coming out year after year to walk with us. We thank you for your donations which give us hope and faith that in the near future CF will stand for CURE FOUND!
From the bottom of our hearts- thank you.
Erica and Brian Rice
