There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, and friends who struggle every day just to breathe. I walk for them. Will you join me and support my fundraising goal?
Real progress has been made for those who have CF, but there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short. We’ve come so far, but there’s still so much work to do. Trent and Tremell Judkins are 8 and 10 years old, they both were diagnosed with CF at 3 and 4 months old. Each day is a blessing to watch these two stride and fight while living with such a scary disease that is very rare in African Americans. The struggle gets harder with each hospital stay. Tremell has spent all of his infant/toddler and most of his childhood in and out of the hospital. Although there has been some progress made with the new medications, its unfortunate that given their mutations, Trent and Tremell do not qualify for any of them. That's why this walk is very personal and important to us because our only hope in finding a cure is the support of all of you. We will not stop striding until all those suffering with cystic fibrosis have a cure. "We will not leave anyone behind".
