We walk for Super George!
My dear friend Elisa has the most amazing little boy and his name is George. George was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis two weeks after he was born. Cystic fibrosis is a chronic life threatening illness that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time.
The bravest 5 year old I know fights this disease daily with nearly 25 pills, 5 breathing treatments, and hours of airway clearance each day...and has endured hostpial stays, bowel blockages, and too manny doctor appointments to count!
As his equally brave momma Elisa will tell you they are incredibly grateful for all those medications and treatments because they literally sustain George's life, allowing him to absorb nutrients in his food, thin mucus in his lungs, and fight harmful infections. Donations to the CF Foundation made medications like these possible, and your continued support will advance the science that will one day lead to a cure.
I hope that you will join me in continuing to help fight this disease so that CF can stand for CURE FOUND.
