Hey guys!!!!! It’s that time of year again!!! GREAT STRIDES time!!!!!! If this will be your first year joining us for GREAT STRIDES, here is a little overview of what it’s all about!
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. Our little fighter just so happens to be OUR SON! We walk for him along with all the other people battling this disease every single day. Will you join us???? If you are interested in walking with us just click on this link and it will guide you through the steps! BE SURE TO REGISTER EVERYONE IN YOUR FAMILY THAT IS GOING TO THE WALK!
Also we have team T-shirts, this year I WILL BE MAKING THE SHIRTS MYSELF!!!! (just to decrease all the issues we have had in the past as most of you know)
The theme this year is EPHESIANS 6:11
“Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11
Everyone is ENCOURAGED to purchase a team shirt! All proceeds of course go to CFF. Shirts will be $15 for ADULTS and $10 for children!
Sizes: Adult S-XXL Children NB-YL
Please message me with your size!
Last day to order APRIL 13th
Actual walk day is MAY 2nd
Can’t make it to the walk? That’s okay!!!! By making a donation in MIGHTY MATTEO’s name, you are helping people that are committed to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis. We will not rest until all those with cystic fibrosis have a cure. The time is now. Together, we can conquer this disease!
Foundation-Sponsored Indoor and Outdoor Events and Gatherings
The Foundation is closely following the evolving coronavirus outbreak. We will continue to monitor coronavirus guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and assess whether we need to change any scheduled events.
To reduce the risk of getting and spreading germs at CF Foundation-sponsored events, we ask that everyone follow basic best practices by regularly cleaning your hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand gel, covering your cough or sneeze with a tissue or your inner elbow, and maintaining a safe 6-foot distance from anyone with a cold or infection. Medical evidence shows that germs may spread among people with CF through direct and indirect contact, as well as through droplets that travel short distances when a person coughs or sneezes. These germs can lead to worsening symptoms and speed decline in lung function.
To further help reduce the risk of cross-infection, the Foundation's attendance policy recommends inviting only one person with CF to attend the indoor portion of a Foundation-sponsored event at a specific time. For the outdoor portion, the Foundation recommends that all people with CF maintain a safe 6-foot distance from each other at all times.
