Hi everyone,
I am raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation! I was diagnosed with CF (also called 65 roses) at birth and later CF related diabetes. I want to raise awareness to show everyone that it doesn't matter what life deals you, you can overcome it.
In my life, I have had gastro-intestinal surgery, 6 six sinus surgeries, and multiple hospitializations from bowel obstructions. I complete two lung treatments a day and take multiple medications. While attending college, I spent a total of 14 days in the hospital and attended class with portable IVs for a week. It didn't stop me!
In high school I participated in Business Professionals of America where I served as the State Public Relations Director, State President, and was a National Officer Candidate. I attended the University of Denver in Denver, CO and received a Bachelors in Accounting with a minor in Economics and a Masters of Accountancy in 4.5 years. I am proud to say that I am a CPA! I had the privilege and opportunity to study abroad in Belfast, Northern Ireland. CF has never been a defining measure in my life, it's just a part of me many people forget about.
Orkambi and TriKafta changed my life!! I was on a routine of in-office sinus clean outs every six weeks and sinus surgeries every 2 years. Since starting Trikafta, my sinuses are clear and I now see the doctor once a year. I rarely have stomach problems, and I haven't been hospitalized since Nov. 2019. My lung function is currently exceeding 100% of expectations. This would not happen w/o the research and community the CFF foundation has created.
Help me give back and make life for everyone w/ CF even better.

Join our team and help us get one step closer to a cure for cystic fibrosis – a rare, genetic, life-shortening disease that makes it difficult to breathe.
With supporters like you by our side, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation continues to lead the way in the fight against CF, fueling extraordinary medical and scientific progress. The life expectancy of someone born with CF has doubled in the last 30 years. Despite this progress, many people with CF do not benefit from existing therapies either because their disease is too advanced or because their specific genetic mutations will not respond. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends, and co-workers who struggle every day in the face of this devasting disease.
We walk in Great Strides for them.
Will you join us?
Great Strides is a fun event that provides a fantastic opportunity for family, friends, students, and colleagues to come together to make a difference in the lives of people with CF.
To participate, just click on the "Join our Team" button. From there, you can make a donation and start fundraising.
