Marlee has brought this family so much joy and happiness. She is an inspiration to us all. She is always happy, moving nonstop with a smile on her face. There is nothing she fears, and she constantly reminds us to keep moving forward with a positive attitude. Marlee had her first day on skis and rode her first chairlift with her family in December. Our daughters grew up on skis and we hope Marlee will too. She loves all things with a motor and loves taking her sister's go kart out for a spin. You’ll often find her waiting for a ride in the go kart or in her daddy’s CAN AM Maverick. Her and her mom go on regular picnics and exploring on the 4-wheel trails next to their house. Marlee loves life.
Before Marlee was born we went to Children’s Hospital to learn as much as we could. We were prepared. We wanted to help Stacy and Lindsay so they always had a backup and could get away from time to time. Once Marlee arrived we learned to give her enzymes and to do her treatments. Now that Marlee has her vest and inhaler we are able to do that as well. Stacy and Lindsay make videos for us so we can always reference them when they are not around. Last July Marlee started the medicine, Orkambi. We have a video for administering that as well. I must say treatment is always interesting. Marlee thinks it is game time with Papa and Grandma but we manage to get it done.
We are so fortunate to see Marlee so often. She takes a gymnastics class close to us, so we know Saturdays are our Marlee days. Our home is her second home. Before she was 2, she figured out where Grandma’s frozen chocolate chip cookies were and is now one of the first places she goes to when coming over. Just must remember to give Marlee her enzymes with even just one cookie. It has been an adjustment but having the opportunity to learn and grow with Marlee has truly been amazing.
We have been so fortunate to have such a huge support group. Marlee is a lucky little girl. Her village continues to grow. With all your help in 2021 we raised $46,000 for Cystic Fibrosis and we continue to 2022.
We have an exciting year ahead. Please join us for our walk at Sloan’s Lake in May. Once again Ferguson Ent. will be sponsoring the 2nd Annual Ferguson-Cystic Fibrosis Golf Tournament. My sister and brother in law will be sponsoring the 3rd Annual Taste of Tuscany. We are so blessed.
Help us to find that cure.
