(3 year old boy with cystic fibrosis)
Sierra-sister Jeni-Mom Skylar-Dad
We found out Landyn had cystic fibrosis when he was only a month old. Landyn is doing well, however we keep trying to get him to gain weight which is difficult for most living with CF. He has a vest which helps losen the mucus buildup in his lungs. He also takes enzymes before eating meals or snacks to help keep nutrients in his body. He is only in the fifth percentile for weight as of now.
This will be our fourth year doing the Great Strides walk and we are thrilled to be a part of this event! It is on May 9th, 9am registration, 10am start time. We hope you will join us by walking with us that day and please sign up for our team if you can! Anything helps the foundation get closer to finding a cure for this disease. Please let me know if you have any questions or have any ideas to help us reach our goal! Sponsorships are available and every dollar raised goes to the foundation to find a cure! You can also sign up as a virtual walker if you can't make it that day! Also, you can sign your kids up after you register. We hope to see you all there as it is a inspiring event that reminds us al that we are all in this together.
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. I walk for them and hope you will support me in my efforts.
Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease. By walking today, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. Will you join me? Support me by making a donation to my Great Strides fundraising campaign today!
Great Strides is a fun, family-friendly event that raises awareness and support for people with CF and their families.
