My sweet nephew, Benjamin, has Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic fibrosis (CF), also known as mucoviscidosis, is a genetic disorder that affects mostly the lungs but also the pancreas, liver, kidneys and intestine. Long term issues include difficulty breathing and coughing up sputum as a result of frequent lung infections. Other symptoms include sinus infections, poor growth, fatty stool, clubbing of the finger and toes, and infertility in males among others. Different people may have different degrees of symptoms.
There is no cure for cystic fibrosis!!!
Benjamin does not understand he is ill. He does not let it define him. It may affect him every day for the rest of his life but he has tenacity and strength. He loves the world with passion.
The Reich’s and you will be raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. If you can donate a small amount you help the CF Foundation achieve their mission—curing and controlling cystic fibrosis.
So, grab your fancy hat and pastel colors to watch the Kentucky Derby at the Reich’s House. For a small donation of $30 per adult, you can enjoy FOOD, DRINKS, GAMBLING and of course the RACE.
For more info on CF www.cff.org/
GAMING: We will be doing a 50/50 Race Squares (just like football squares) and 50/50 place betting.
