Hey guys! Most of you reading this right now already know my little brother, Timothy, and know he has Cystic Fibrosis (CF). For those of you who are new, THANK YOU for taking the time to visit this page either to make a donation or to simply gain more information about CF! CF is a genetic disorder that inhibits my brother's ability to breathe and digest important nutrients he needs to thrive and grow. There are only approximatley 3,000 documented cases of CF in the US right now. Since so few people actually have this disease, the CF Foundation recieves ZERO federal funding for their life saving research. Due to the amazing work and research the CF Foundation does, the predicted median age of survival for CF has doubled in the past 30 years! The CF Foundation, with support from its partners like Vertex, have created some amazing drugs in the past few years that have changed my brother's life! Most recently, the FDA approved a drug called Trikafta that has drastically increased my brother's lung function!! The only reason this drug became a reality was because of donations from people just like you! If you know me, you know that I love my little brother with my whole heart. This is why I am so passionate about the CF Foundation and the Great Strides Fundraiser. The money raised goes directly to this life saving research that is keeping my baby brother alive. No donation amount is too small, I promise! If you would like more information about CF or the Foundation, please, feel free to reach out to me or anyone in my family!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for visiting this page, just by reading this and becoming more educated about CF, you are making a difference!
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, indoor events sponsored by the CF Foundation are strictly prohibited at this time. Scheduled outdoor events must adhere to strict requirements to minimize the risk of COVID-19 infection. Events may be subject to change at any time based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local health officials.
IMPORTANT NOTE ON ATTENDANCE AT OUTDOOR FOUNDATION EVENTS:
To minimize the risk of COVID-19 infection, attendees at CF Foundation events must adhere to the following requirements:
Practice physical distancing and maintain at least a safe 6-foot distance from persons outside of their household at all times
Face masks strongly encouraged and expected to be worn in accordance with local guidelines. (Note, children under two years of age should not wear masks due to safety concerns and therefore should not attend CF Foundation events where there is risk of interacting with someone outside of their household.)
Follow basic infection, prevention and control practices by regularly washing hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand gel, covering your cough or sneeze with a tissue or your inner elbow.
Persons with CF should consult their physician before participation in any in-person event as they may be at an increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19. People with CF should maintain a safe 6-foot distance from persons outside of their household at all times.
