As many of you know three members of my extended family (Francis "Frankie" Tully - grandniece, Michael Tully – Frankie’s dad and Kaitlyn Morris - niece) all have been impacted by Cystic Fibrosis - a life threatening disease with no cure. This year we have a new addition and bundle of joy to our family - Cora Tully (grand niece). We had high hopes that she would not be impacted by C.F. but that was not part of God's plan. Please click the yelllow arrow in the photo above and watch the video to learn more about the Tully families story. In support of the ongoing efforts to find a cure to this disease I will once again be participating in the Great Strides fundraising campaign.
Thanks to people like you there has been incredible progress in battling this illiness which have added tomorrow’s to the lives of people like Kaitlyn, Cora, Frankie and Michael. The most recent example of this includes the approval of a new drug in 2019 (Trikafta – a new therapy that drastically improves lung function and quality of life in 90% of CF patients ages 6 and older)and increased the average life expectency of people with CF to age 50. The research, development and approval of this drug was possible in part because people like you have supported the “Great Strides” CF annual fundraiser.
To those of you who have contributed in the past please accept my heartfelt thanks – YOU HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE!! That being said there is still work to be done until a cure is found.
To make this a reality would you consider making a donation to support the “House Tully” - our family’s annual campaign? As a reminder, 90% of every dollar raised goes toward research, care and education programs which earned the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation a 4 star rating from Charity Navigator for Sound Fiscal Management. In other words your donation is truly helping those with CF to be able to breathe and enjoy a better quality of life.
Thank you in advance for giving this your careful consideration, we appreciate your support.
To donate simply click on "Donate to Jim" (see below picture of my niece and grandnieces above)and follow the prompts to make your donation.
Thanks again for your support!!
