2017 Great Strides
Did you know there are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis? Our son, Owen, is one of them. Owen was diagnosed with CF at 10 days old. Since then, he has been under the expert care of his team at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He remains a very active, imaginative, and creative boy. He is in fifth grade now--where did the time go? He continues to play soccer, basketball, and lacrosse in the spring!
As we have done for the past nine years, our family has made a commitment to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to walk in Great Strides. Great Strides is the foundation's largest fundraiser nationwide. We walk to help raise funds for the CFF to use toward their amazing efforts to find a cure. To date, Team Owen has raised under $190,000 for the CFF to use toward research and improving the lives of those with CF!
Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease. By walking today, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. Will you join me?

ATTENDANCE POLICY:
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, indoor events sponsored by the CF Foundation are strictly prohibited at this time. Scheduled outdoor events must adhere to strict requirements to minimize the risk of COVID-19 infection. Events may be subject to change at any time based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local health officials.
IMPORTANT NOTE ON ATTENDANCE AT OUTDOOR FOUNDATION EVENTS:
To minimize the risk of COVID-19 infection, attendees at CF Foundation events must adhere to the following requirements:
Persons with CF should consult their physician before participation in any in-person event as they may be at an increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19. People with CF should maintain a safe 6-foot distance from persons outside of their household at all times.
