In early 2013, my nephews, Jacob and Jackson Miller were diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. CF is a life shortening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. While there is no cure, advances in research and medical treatments have further enhanced and extended life for children and adults with CF. We found a nationwide event, called Great Strides, that raises money to help support life-saving research, quality care, and education programs.
Both boys take enzymes with every meal to assist with the absorption of their food as well as use inhaled medications in conjunction with their chest percussion therapy (CPT) for airway clearance. Many of the drugs the boys use daily are available today because of the advancements made possible through the research and funding of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Please consider making a donation and supporting our team during the virtual Great Strides event on Saturday, May 20, 2023. You’ll feel confident in knowing that your generous gift will be used efficiently and effectively – approximately 90% of every dollar raised goes to support vital CF research, as well as medical and educational programs. Plus, your gift is tax-deductible.
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. Together, we are adding tomorrows to the lives of people living with CF by supporting the search for a cure.
Help me reach my fundraising goal by donating to my Great Strides fundraising campaign. Your gift will help add tomorrows to the lives of people with cystic fibrosis by supporting life-saving research and medical progress. Your gift is 100-percent tax deductible.
