This year will mark the 15th year we have participated in the Great Strides fundraising event. During this time there has been immense progress in extending the lives of many CF patients. However, our granddaughter Lilly has a very rare form of CF which has not directly benefited from these life extending discoveries. As the video shows she undertakes a daily regimen of treatments to keep her breathing.
As a 10th grader Lilly continues to excel at the highest academic level in honors courses. She played on the tennis team and helped form a Spanish club at school. This year she is 16, an age most CF patients never reached forty years ago. As you will see in the video her mother Kathy is a tireless advocate for a lifesaving cure for Lilly.
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis today. Will you join us and support our fundraising goal?
We will not stop striding until all those with cystic fibrosis have a cure.
To learn more about Lilly and CF watch the video made by her mother.
