My Great Strides Story
All donations made go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, our nation's leader on CF research and advocacy. Money donated goes toward researching new medication and treatment therapies, as well as finding a cure!
Thanks to the generous donations of friends and family of the cystic fibrosis community, the lifespan of a person with cystic fibrosis has increased greatly. At the time Beau was born the average life expectancy for a person with cystic fibrosis was 37. Today, a person born with cystic fibrosis (born 2022 or later) is expected to live on average to age 56! A HUGE improvement. We have also seen a great increase in both kids health since starting new medication therapies recently approved by the FDA, thanks in large part to the drug pipeline with the CF Foundation. We continue to fight this disease every day of our lives in the hopes that one day it will be cured!
