21 years ago my brother died from cf. When we were born the life expectancy was only 16 so I thought I wouldn’t be long after him. Now I’m married to the woman of my dreams, we have a great dog and an incredible 1 1/2 year old son! I was still always waiting for that one time when I just didn’t get better. And then November 20th,2019 happened. I started taking Trikafta,a new medicine, that day and since then my lungs have improved dramatically. They are better then they have been in over ten years. This medicine is because of every person that donated to CF over the years. Everyone that gave anything can know that you gave us CFers lucky enough to make it to this point a future. Thank you. Thank you for giving me more time with my family. And thank you for always donating. There’s still 10% of people who this new drug doesn’t work for so we won’t stop fundraising and working until 100% of people with CF feel as lucky as I do today, and even better, until there is a cure! Thank you to everybody who helped make this new reality possible.
