I was born in 1986 with a life expectancy of 16. I am about to turn 36, I am married to the woman of my dreams, have the two most incredible little boys in the world, the best dog ever and we are about to move into our dream home at the beach. I owe EVERYTHING to the hard work, commitment and dedication of every single person that has ever donated money to fight for a cure. I am one of the lucky CF'ers who got the life altering drug Trikafta. It took my worries from being alive for my kids to making sure my retirement account was actually funded. It is as close to a cure as you can get without being an actual cure and it feels like the weight of the world was lifted off my shoulders when I got to start it. Not every CF'er was eligible and now I fight for a cure, but also for them. And anyone else going through ANYTHING. Right before my brother died from CF at 16 he wrote in a journal in all caps "NEVER GIVE UP" and that has always been and will always be my motto in life. NEVER GIVE UP, no matter what you are facing. Fight and hope. Thanks for reading my story and if your able to, please donate so that CF stands for cure found.
