Thank you to all my friends and family who have continued to support the CF fight with us year after year and new team members. Most of you probably know that my Nephew, Austin, has Cystic Fibrosis. At the time of his diagnosis as a baby, I knew very little about this disease, let alone someone that had Cystic Fibrosis. I learned about the many symptoms Austin has; including chronic congestion, coughing, digestive issues, and infections. To help with the fight against Cystic Fibrosis, Austin had to endure numerous medications, nebulizer treatments, chest physical therapy, and hospital visits.
That first Great Strides walk I attended was in Annapolis, in 2001 and I’ve been walking ever since. Over the years, I’ve watched the team grow. I've also watched my nephew grow. He's a senior in college now, still working hard every day to fight this disease. We’re a National Team and I started my own “Team Feets” in Hagerstown. I am thankful for my team, their generosity and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Cystic Fibrosis does not receive any federal funding and is supported by individual and corporations across the country and it's because of your generosity that has gotten the Cystic Fibrosis Foundations as far as it is today.
