Trikafta, a drug developed in 2019, has been a game changer for about 90% of people with CF. For Owen, Trikafta has been a miracle! He no longer needs 3 or 4 treatments a day, usually one is enough. He has gained weight, height, and energy, and is eating everything! Today Owen is playing golf, snowboarding, and getting ready to obtain his driver's license. He takes care of his CF with a manageable treatment schedule that we would have never foreseen. Our fight is not over as there are many whom this drug does not help. There are many regions where this drug is financially prohibitive. Please help us as we continue to make medical advancements for all those affected by Cystic Fibrosis.
Once again thank you to all of the people who generously supported our Cystic Fibrosis fundraisers over the years. It is because of people like you and your donations that the research could be funded to develop Trikafta. You have made a huge difference in the lives of so many people with CF and their families, and we are so grateful.
Trikafta has made a huge difference in the lives of so many people with CF. This is a miracle for so many, but there’s still not a miracle drug for every person with CF and we still don’t have a cure. We have so much hope for the future and feel we are getting close to CF a standing for “Cure Found.”
Our GREAT STRIDES walk in Ogdensburg will be held on Saturday, May 11, to raise funds for research. I would greatly appreciate your support. If you would like to walk or donate please click on the provided link for our “Goin for Owen” team or message me and I will provide more information on how to make a donation and or join our team. Thank you for your support!
