As most of my friends and family know, CF is not just my job...it's personal. I got involved when a college friend was diagnosed in her 20's. I had attended events before I began working for the Foundation to show support to she and her family. Fast forward 7 years, and here we are! In my short time at the Foundation, the amount of progress that has been made is nothing short of astonishing. I am proud to be a part of this team and community. With that being said, I hardly ever personally fundraise. After all, this is my job! But with Covid, 2020 is the time to try something new. As you imagine, fundraising is not at the forefront of people's minds and priorites right now, and that much I completely understand. But as anyone with a life altering disease knows, just because Covid started doesnt mean cystis fibrosis stopped. It is crucial that the mission continues so here I am, asking for your help.
This year, the Foundation launched a 65 Roses Challenge, in hopes of raising 65 Million by the end of the year...here is where your help comes in! I am asking that you skip your $6.50 Starbucks this week and donate to my page instead. Or you gather up the spare change at the bottom of your purse and contribute however much (or little) that is. The thing about donating to a good cause is that EVERY little bit helps. I think people get intimiated because they don't have a large amount to spare, but if everyone just did a little, we could still get to the same end goal. Thank you to all those who have given, will continue to give, both their time and money. You are much appreciated!
