Join our team and help add tomorrows!
My family, friends and I are walking on behalf of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. My Great Strides team, The Blue Crew, is taking part in the Great Strides Walk at Tyler Park in September.
The photo on this page is of my mom and her friends when they started the Blue Crew in 1986 when I was only 6 years old. I am now 34 and continue the tradition of working for a cure. I am passionate about the cause, and passionate about living a long, full life.
This year, 2015, The Blue Crew will be hosting a few paint night fundraisers to help raise money for our team. These are a great way to get out, have fun and raise money for a great cause!!! All proceeds from these events will go to the Blue Crew fundraising page. Help us help CFers everywhere!!!
Cystic fibrosis is a life-threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive systems of approximately 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide). More than 10 million Americans are symptomless carriers of the defective CF gene. Right now there is no cure for cystic fibrosis. You can help combat cystic fibrosis by getting involved and making a donation to support the cause of finding the cure for this disease. Great Strides is the Foundation’s largest fundraiser which brings in over $40 million each year for research. Great Strides has become successful because of the public reception and the generous contributions that businesses have provided as event sponsors and donors. Your commitment and support does make a difference in the lives of all cystic fibrosis patients and would play a major role in the research process.
By becoming a member of our team and or making a donation, you are joining a growing group of people committed to finding a cure for cystic fibrosis. Together, we are adding tomorrows to the lives of people living with CF by supporting the search for a cure.
Great Strides is a fun, family-friendly event that raises awareness and support for people with CF and their families.
Thank You
