My Great Strides Story
I met Mary and her family over 30 years ago as a genetic counselor brand new to the field. I couldn't imagine then the progress that would be made toward understanding the genetics of and treatment for Cystic Fibrosis.
While there have been significant gains in the treatment of Cystic Fibrosis, there is currently still no cure for CF. By participating in Great Strides, I am helping to support research toward better therapeutics, support for individuals and their families and ultimately to find a cure for the tens of thousands of people impacted by CF.
Cystic fibrosis affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. The symptoms can vary from person to person, and as people with CF live longer than ever before, their disease can become more complicated.
Once again, I am honored to walk with Mary and Jess and their family and friends to support the progress of the CF Foundation. Your support makes a difference.
Please consider joining us by registering to walk at the Phila Zoo on May 4th or by making a donation and helping make CF stand for Cure Found.
