We are wondering if you can help us again this year with a special request!
It is time once again for the annual Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Great Strides Walk to help raise money to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis but this year it's all virtual. Due to COVID restrictions we are not able to have a walk but we are definitely determined to make this a good year. There has been many advances in CF over the years and the biggest stride is the new medication for the double Delta F508 gene to help thin out mucus in the lungs to help you breath. This new drug is not yet approved for children 12 and under so we have started the second best medication last January until we can start the new meds.
This past year has been was a great year. We have all be able to stay covid free!!!
In 2019 year we were able to raise just over $6,000 by wonderful donation from people like you. We would like to pass that up this year again with your help. Please consider making a donation of $25, $50, $100 or whatever you can afford. You can support us by making a donation. Thanks for all the continued support it is greatly appreciated. Please make checks payable to CFF and remember all donations are tax deductible.
You can log on to www.cff.org/greatstrides. You can click on find a walker and type in Adalyn or Frances Schienebeck and click donate now
Thank you for all the continued support over the years it is greatly appreciated.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, indoor events sponsored by the CF Foundation are strictly prohibited at this time. Scheduled outdoor events must adhere to strict requirements to minimize the risk of COVID-19 infection. Events may be subject to change at any time based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local health officials.
IMPORTANT NOTE ON ATTENDANCE AT OUTDOOR FOUNDATION EVENTS:
To minimize the risk of COVID-19 infection, attendees at CF Foundation events must adhere to the following requirements:
Practice physical distancing and maintain at least a safe 6-foot distance from persons outside of their household at all times
Face masks strongly encouraged and expected to be worn in accordance with local guidelines. (Note, children under two years of age should not wear masks due to safety concerns and therefore should not attend CF Foundation events where there is risk of interacting with someone outside of their household.)
Follow basic infection, prevention and control practices by regularly washing hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand gel, covering your cough or sneeze with a tissue or your inner elbow.
Persons with CF should consult their physician before participation in any in-person event as they may be at an increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19. People with CF should maintain a safe 6-foot distance from persons outside of their household at all times.
