There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. I walk for them and hope you will support me in my efforts.
My daughter is one of these 30,000 Americans with cystic fibrosis (CF). We received Ella's diagnosis in February 2008 when I was still four months pregnant. We had time to adjust to this news and learn more about CF without having to worry about taking care of a newborn. Even though we knew before Ella was born, it did not make caring for her any less stressful, after her birth.
Looking at Ella you would not guess that she’s sick. This is due to all the medications Ella takes and treatments Ella does because of the fundraising like CF families like ours partnering with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The link below will provide you with research milestones that were made possible with the help of the CF Foundation. Therefore, we are asking for your help, to help advance the treatment and finding a cure for CF.
Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease. By walking today, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. Will you join me? Support me by making a donation to my Great Strides fundraising campaign today!
Great Strides is a fun, family-friendly event that raises awareness and support for people with CF and their families.
