It’s that time of year… 2024 Great Strides is approaching. This year's walk in Madison, WI is May 18th.
It has been a great year for Kennedy! She has stayed healthy and continues to see her great CF team at UW Health every couple months. She got married last November and we were blessed to have Mary Ellen Freeman attend. Mary Ellen was Kennedy’s CF nurse practitioner from birth until her retirement. She moved to Montana and we hadn’t seen her in over 6 years. Mary Ellen made such an impact on our lives we were so happy that her and her husband made the trip.
We welcome anyone that would like to walk, to join our team, Kennedy’s Kickers. If you can’t walk and you have the means, please consider making a donation to our team by visiting
and searching for the team name “Kennedy’s Kickers”. CF research has come so far since Kennedy was born in 1998, especially in recent years, and your support at these events makes all the difference. Thank you for your support, we appreciate each of you.
A little about CF:
Nearly 40,000 people in the United States have cystic fibrosis: a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. Kennedy is one of these people! I walk for her!
Working alongside the CF community, the CF Foundation has fostered the development of more than a dozen CF treatments and helped add decades of life for people with CF. Yet, many people with CF do not benefit from existing therapies. Our vision is a cure for every person with cystic fibrosis – a life free from the burden of this disease – and we will not leave anyone behind.
Please consider joining us and help make medical history.
