With a mild winter almost behind us it is time to start getting ready for the 2024 Great Strides Walk. Please help support our team, “Team Reid” in this year’s Great Strides Walk on May 4th
Reid had a relatively healthy year, a couple colds and a bout with the flu, he received the Covid vaccine and gained some weight and height. He works out everyday pumping iron and has developed some nice biceps. He maintains his high spirits and good nature. He is a very busy 14-year-old, 8th grade boy, he enjoys the outdoors, hunting, fishing, playing soccer, and running track. These activities strengthen his lungs, which is a CF weak point. He continues to receive two vibration vest treatments each day and takes 8 pills before every meal or snack. We look at Reid and wonder what the future will hold for him. We want to do everything possible to find a cure for CF. He is an inspiration to us all; despite his disease, he is in high spirits and always has a laugh and a smile for everyone.
Great Strides is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's largest and most successful national fundraising event. This year, we are walking in the Great Strides walk in Fond du Lac on May4th at the Eagles Club. In order to continue and accelerate the development of a cure, dollars are needed. Please help us meet this year’s fund-raising goal of 1,000 dollars by sponsoring us. Your generous gift will be used efficiently and effectively, as nearly 90 cents of every dollar of revenue raised is available for investment in vital CF programs to support research, care and education. The gene mutation that causes CF was discovered in 1989. There are some promising treatments and trials on the horizon that could help add years to Reid’s life.

Thank you in advance for your concern and kindness. http://fightcf.cff.org/goto/GrandsonReid . Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a devastating genetic disease that affects tens of thousands of children and young adults in the United States. Research and care supported by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is making a huge difference in extending the quality of life for those with CF. However, we continue to lose precious lives to CF every day. That's why your help is needed now more than ever to ensure that a cure is found sooner - rather than later.
