Our Great Strides Story

We walk for a cure for all people with cystic fibrosis, but for the person nearest to our hearts is our Nicky. 

Nicky was born in 1987, being diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis in 1989 we were told she would not live to see high school graduation. Throughout the years we have had our scares from bowel obstructions to new diagnoses of various other conditions linked to CF. 
Nicky has never let CF stand in her way, from volunteering as a pit-bull foster momma, a volunteer EMT, an ice-skating teacher for disabled children, a full-time employee for West Herr and so much more. Today, Nicky is a wife and a mom of a beautiful little miracle boy named Ernie. That miracle would have not been able to happen if it was not for the funds raised for medical advancements and science. 

With your help and the funds raised we would love to see the opportunity for Nicky to live a very fulfilling life and see her son grow up. There is still no cure for CF, and 10% of the CF population does not have the ability to have the benefits of Trikafta.
