My Great Strides Story
So many people ask me how Ryan is doing. He is now 20 and is just finishing his sophomore year as an electrical engineering student at UB. He impresses me with how well he does with his school work. Most of his peers have no idea what he needs to do everyday before school and when he gets home to stay healthy. He is very fortunate that all of the fundraising and support from family and friends have helped him succeed. Unfortunately, there still is no cure and we are once again raising funds to finish the fight we began many years ago.
Nearly 40,000 people in the United States have cystic fibrosis: a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, and friends who face the sobering prospect of a shortened lifespan.
Working alongside the CF community, the CF Foundation has fostered the development of more than a dozen CF treatments and helped add decades of life for people with CF. But we are not done until a cure is found.
Please help support Ryan and others who battle CF!
By supporting my fundraising goal, you have an opportunity in your lifetime to be part of ending this disease. Please consider joining us and help make medical history.
