Join Super Lily's Sidekicks and help us get one step closer to a cure for cystic fibrosis – a rare, genetic, life-shortening disease that makes it difficult to breathe.
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation continues to lead the way in the fight against CF, fueling extraordinary medical and scientific progress. The life expectancy for Lily has doubled in the last 30 years and with new drug therapies starting younger that number will only increase! Thanks to donations to the CF Foundation drug therapies, like Trikafta (helps the CFTR protiens to the cell wall and to function), are now available to Lily. Since she started Trikafta, her lung function has increased, her energy seems endless, she has continued to have a healthy weight, and seems to battle colds much quicker. With Trikafta Lily may be able to reduce other therapies in the future, giving her a healthy life with less medicine and time spent on airway clearance. With our fundraising, who knows what other amazing drug therapies will be discovered!
Despite the amazing progress in CF therapies, many people with CF do not benefit from existing therapies either because their disease is too advanced or because their specific genetic mutations will not respond. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends, and co-workers who struggle every day in the face of this devasting disease.
