My Great Strides Story
Nearly 40,000 people in the United States have cystic fibrosis: a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs.
My 10-year-old granddaughter, Reis, is one of them.
The CF Foundation has fostered the development of more than a dozen CF treatments and helped add decades of life for people with CF.
Reis had a tough start in life, with surgery and 3 months in the NICU. But she is one of the lucky ones whose quality of life has tremendously benefited from the treatments that have come from this research. She is now an active, lively, happy child.
Yet, many people with CF do not benefit from existing therapies. Our vision is a cure for every person with cystic fibrosis. Please consider joining us by making a donation and help make medical history.
