As most of you know, my connection with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is very personal.  I participated in my first Great Strides walk just three months after my youngest brother, Bernie, lost his fight with CF.  That was in 2000 and he was the third of my siblings to succumb to this disease (Ben 1974-1984 and Teresa 1968-1974).  Since then, I have chaired /participated in 24 Great Strides Walks.  In October of 2022, I moved to Arizona, but flew up to AK for the 2023 walk. I just can’t let it go!  I am excited to be flying up to Alaska for this year's walk too.  It’s a special one for sure as this year will mark the 25th Great Strides Walk in Alaska!  Wow!  It’s hard to believe it’s been that long. Great Strides Alaska will take place in Wasilla at Larson Elementary School on Saturday, May 11th at 11:00am.

There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe. I walk for them and hope you will support me in my efforts.

Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease. By walking today, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. Will you join me?
