Dear friends -
Team Super G is led by Greyson, our 6 year old grandson. Greyson is now six and proud of it! He loves Gabby Cats, playing t-ball and watching the Mariners. Greyson was able to begin taking Trikafta in the past year. Trikafta is a combination drug that is designed for people with cystic fibrosis (CF) who have at least one of 178 different mutations in their CFTR (cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator) gene. Greyson continues his daily treatments including vest therapy, enzymes with each meal and snack along with the latest drug TRIKAFTA.
Tremendous advancements in specialized CF care have added years and improved the quality of the lives of people with cystic fibrosis. During the 1950s, a child with CF rarely lived long enough to attend elementary school. Today, many people with CF are achieving their dreams of attending college, playing sports, pursuing careers, getting married, and having kids.
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, and friends who struggle every day just to breathe. I walk for them. Will you join me and support my fundraising goal?
Real progress has been made for those who have CF, but there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short. We’ve come so far, but there’s still so much work to do. I will not stop striding until all those with cystic fibrosis have a cure. Will you join me? Please consider donating to my Great Strides fundraising campaign today!
