Abby's Great Strides Story
Hey Everyone,
I wanted to tell you about a foundation near and dear to my heart, the Great Strides Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CF). It is close to my heart because of my beautiful granddaughter, Abby. At one-month-old, Abby was diagnosed with CF.
Abby is a vibrant, active 7-year-old. She is so funny, and her laugh is infectious. She loves Pokémon! She tolerates her twin sister, Kenzie, and little brother, Booker, and thinks her Yaya (that's me) is the silliest person on the planet. And those who know me know she is not wrong.
CF is the last thing I want her to deal with in this crazy world, but she handles it like a trooper. She currently takes a medication that has helped her immensely. This medication did not exist five years ago, but it does because of donations from friends, family, the private sector, and events like the Great Strides Walk. This year's walk is on Saturday, April 27, 2024, in Chesapeake, VA. We will be walking through the Dismal Sw2amp Canal Trail.
Please join Abby's Avengers to walk and/or donate to meet our goal of $5,000, which will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
There is currently no cure for cystic fibrosis. By participating in Great Strides, and donating to my fundraising goal, you will help advance our mission for a cure for all. Please consider joining us and helping make CF stand for Cure Found.
Your support makes a difference.
Thank you,
Rozie (Stephanie) Rozzell aka - Yaya
