I am an aunt to a 7 and 6 year old nephew and niece with Cystic Fibrosis. Naturally, we desperately find ways to improve a loved one's health. As a huge advocate of research, I hope to reach a minimum of $1,000 to donate towards finding a cure to this life-threatening illness and funding the expensive medication required for patients with CF.
The sign Mason and Liana are holding reads, "In this house, we do Cystic Fibrosis. We do breathing treatments, we do tears and we do pain. We worry and we stress. We also HOPE, we persevere, and we PRAY. Because in this house, WE DON'T GO DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT!"
While CF does not define them, it can take a toll on their day to day life and have an impact on loved ones. These warriors are stronger than anyone else I have met at such a young age. Those with CF must learn to carry on their day to day imperative routine to simply carry out a normal, breathable day as much as possible-something the average population doesn't tend to worry about until something is wrong.
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, and friends who struggle every day just to breathe. I walk for them. Will you join me and support my fundraising goal?
Real progress has been made for those who have CF, but there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut far too short. We've come so far, but there's still so much work to do. I will not stop striding until all those with cystic fibrosis have a cure. We will not leave anyone behind.
Please support me!
We are at a pivotal moment in the history of cystic fibrosis and your support matters. With your help, we can invest our resources in research today, while raising funds for tomorrow, to ensure we have what it takes to reach the finish line. Together, we can make CF stand for Cure Found. Please help me reach my fundraising goal!
