My Great Strides Story
It’s that time of year again: CF fundraising time! Since I’m living in Virginia now, I’ll be fundraising for the Hampton Roads Great Strides walk. In fact, it’s because of generous donations from friends and family like you guys that I’m able to live and work in a different state. 5 years ago, before I started taking Trikafta, I would have never thought I’d be able to live away from home and have a real job. But now, I’m able to work full time as a child life specialist—a job that I absolutely love—helping kids cope with hospitalization and surgery, like I had to deal with countless times when I was younger.
However, the fight is not over yet. People with uncommon CF gene mutations still don’t have access to Trikafta. Moreover, Trikafta is not a cure. It makes most of my symptoms better, but it is not a cure. And we won’t stop fighting and fundraising Until It’s Done and CF stands for cure found! Please consider donating if you can- no amount is too small.
Thank you for your generosity
