I am one of approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. We are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, and friends who struggle every day just to breathe and survive.  Real progress has been made for those who have CF, but there is still no cure for this devastating disease and many lives are cut too short.  I have directly experienced this -- losing many CF friends over the years and personally requiring two double lung transplants to extend my own life.  We’ve come so far, but there’s still so much work to do. I will not stop striding until those with cystic fibrosis have a cure AND they have found a way to help transplanted CFers beat chronic rejection -- the primary cause of death in lung transplant recipients.
