My Great Strides Story

As some of you know, my son was diagnosed with CF in January of this year(23). He his handling this like a champ and will continue to do so.  CFF is conducting a great strides walk on May 20th, 2023 in Brevard, NC. We are raising money for this cause to help thousands affected by this rare condition.  Also if you are interested in walking with Michael's Marvel Academy team we would live to have you join the team.  If your unable to do so, you can still help by donating onto the website.  If your old school and want to do cash or check accommodations can be made.  Please help Michael reach his goal for this cause!!

Nearly 40,000 people in the United States have cystic fibrosis: a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, and friends who face the sobering prospect of a shortened lifespan. I walk for them.

Working alongside the CF community, the CF Foundation has fostered the development of more than a dozen CF treatments and helped add decades of life for people with CF. Yet, many people with CF do not benefit from existing therapies. Our vision is a cure for every person with cystic fibrosis – a life free from the burden of this disease – and we will not leave anyone behind.
