The Penny Savers

Hello! Welcome to The Penny Savers team page! 

Penny is a happy, feisty, fun, loving, headstrong almost 6 year old. She is also one of approxamately 30,000 people in the US with Cystic Fibrosis, a life-limiting genetic disease that mainly effects the respiratory and digestive systems

Because of a drug that was partly funded by your donations, Penny was recently able to stop 10 of her pills everyday! She has regained her pancreatic function which before the new drugs was unheard of! She also does 2-30 minute respiratory treatments a day while well and 4 when she is ill. A common cold usually ends in a lung infection requiring antibiotics. Luckily, she's been able to stay out of the hospital since she was 4 months old! 

The CFF is largely responsible for the current treatments available for patients with CF. $0.90 of every $1 donated goes straight to research!

Penny and those others with CF go through more than most can even imagine and we pray daily for a cure.
