There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. My daughter Brooke is one one of them. She was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when she was 3 weeks old. Needless to say, my husband and I were devastated.... Our precious little girl was given a disease that could cut her life short. So now, we fight. We do what needs to be done every day. This includes medications to help her digest her food, several breathing treatments, chest therapy to break up the thick sticky mucus that builds up in her lungs, and we keep her active. The current life expectancy is 38 years old. That is NOT acceptable to me. I walk for her and the other 30,000 people who suffer from this horrible disease. I hope you will support me in my efforts.
Real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease. By walking today, I am helping add tomorrows to the lives of people living with cystic fibrosis. Will you join me? Support me by making a donation to my Great Strides fundraising campaign today!
Great Strides is a fun, family-friendly event that raises awareness and support for people with CF and their families.
