My Great Strides Journey: A Call to Action Against Cystic Fibrosis

This year marks my 13th year participating in Great Strides Walks first in Point Pleasant, New Jersey and now in Nashville.  Being a part of this year after year has had a profound impact on my life and the lives of countless others affected by cystic fibrosis (CF).  I walk and fundraise in honor of one of my most treasured friends who lost his life to CF.   

Cystic fibrosis remains a formidable challenge, with no current cure in sight. Through my involvement in Great Strides, I am contributing to the collective effort to put an end to this debilitating disease, providing hope for the thousands of individuals impacted by CF.

This genetic disorder affects not only the lungs but also the pancreas and other vital organs. The symptoms can vary widely from person to person, and as medical advancements enable those with CF to live longer, the complexity of their disease increases, often leading to severe health complications.

While the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has achieved remarkable progress, fostering the development of over a dozen CF treatments, it's important to note that these treatments are not a cure, and unfortunately, not everyone can benefit from them. Our journey toward a cure must persist, and this is where your support becomes crucial.
