Thanks so much for supporting our quest to cure Cystic Fibrosis now! This is a personal quest for us, as our son, Jacob, has been living with CF since the day he was born. He is thriving now, due to the incredible efforts and breakthroughs the CF Foundation has funded. Our job now is to support the best scientists in the world as they work to cure this life-threatening disease as soon as humanly possible.
The Crossroads team, along with hundreds of other supporters of the CF Foundation, will participate in a beautiful 5k walk along the beach in Santa Monica on the morning of Saturday, June 3. The support you provide with your presence and your fundraising will go a long way toward curing this disease in time for Jacob and the other 30,000 Americans who live with CF.
If you would like to become a member of our team, just click on the link below and join us on Saturday morning in Santa Monica! (The walk is from 9:30 to 11 am; you can email me for parking details.) Thanks so much for your support!
Important note on Attendance at Foundation Events:
Infections can exacerbate CF symptoms and worsen lung function, so we ask attendees at Foundation-sponsored events to observe the following best practices to reduce the risk of germ transmission:
Regularly wash hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand gel.
Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or your inner elbow.
Maintain a safe 6-foot distance from anyone with a cold or infection.
To further reduce the risk of cross-infection, the Foundation’s attendance policy recommends that all people with CF maintain a safe 6-foot distance from each other at all times while attending an outdoor Foundation-sponsored event. All Great Strides walks are non-smoking events.
