Thank you so much for visiting my Great Strides page.
2019, already?!!!! Yes, our event was moved to May, being as May is Cystic Fibrosis awareness month. I appreciate you spending time to check out my page. I am dedicated to helping CF stand for Cure Found. Not only does my niece, Kyra live with Cystic Fibrosis, Forest has a 6 year old darling friend, and another friend of mine has a niece who battles the disease.
There are approximately 30,000 Americans living with cystic fibrosis. They are moms, dads, sisters, brothers, daughters, sons, friends and co-workers who struggle every day just to breathe.
My niece, Kyra, was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when she was only 6 weeks old. Although she battles the territory that comes with living with Cystic Fibrosis, Kyra is truly striving. I believe all the research that has been done is benefitting her, and in general she is just amazing. She is still attending Stanford, and putting her best self forward into this beautiful world.
The good news is, real progress has been made in the search for a cure, but the lives of people with CF are still cut far too short. There still is no cure for this devastating disease. This year developments have been made getting us closer to curbing the disease. This is exciting, but we aren't there yet.
Great Strides is a fun, family-friendly event that raises awareness and support for people with CF and their families. It would be so awesome if you join us in walking, creating your own team, sponsering me or another member, or even heading out to the event. At the event we will have a silent auction with tons of awesome goodies to be won! All proceeds go to the foundation!
Please support me!
Help me reach my fundraising goal by donating to my Great Strides fundraising campaign. Forest and I will not be walking this year, as we have a very special baby shower to attend. We are both very appreciative of any donation you can support us with. Your gift will help add tomorrows to the lives of people with cystic fibrosis by supporting life-saving research and medical progress. Your gift is 100-percent tax deductible. Thank you so much!
