Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disorder that affects mostly the lungs, but also the pancreas, liver, kidneys, and intestine. Long-term issues include difficulty breathing and coughing up mucus as a result of frequent lung infections. Living with cystic fibrosis varies, as each person's body may experience udifferent symptoms and side effects. The typical life expectancy for someone with CF is mid-30s. There is no cure for CF, but medicines are improving the quality of life for CFers every year. We thank you for visiting our donation page and helping make CF stand for CURE FOUND.
Sicily is Singing for a Cure
Sicily is a 16 year old musician, dancer and singer/songwriter who loves to perform her own original music. Besides dreaming of becoming a pop star, Sicily's biggest goal in life is to help find a cure for the disease that ails her, Cystic Fibrosis (CF). Sicily normally does 2-3 hours of breathing treatments a day, on top of several other medicines daily. It's hard on her mentally and physically most days, but she stays positive and instead of sulking, she focuses on doing the things she loves likes music! Sicily's songs are often about living with CF, but everyone can relate to her inspirational lyrics. Every penny of every song download Sicily makes goes directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to help find a cure for CF!
