My Great Strides Story
my family found out I had CF when I was only 2 weeks old, at the time I didn't really understand it... I found that out a few years later, but as you can probably imagine life was a lot different than I would have ever expected.
I am currently an 11 year old who is in 5th grade at EK powe, as some people with CF may agree, I dont really tell people about my CF, its pretty much always been like that, I'm not completely sure why, I guess its because I want people to think of me as me, not just someone with CF.
and just to get this straight im not ashamed of having CF and dont think anyone should be, CF or not.
I know doctors are making a lot of progress on helping people with CF like for example with trikafta but there is still no permanent cure, trikafta helped me a lot... with sports and just managing life in general.
Im going to be a virtual walker at the greats strides walk because that day I will be in my school play performing, and doing a 5k in girls on the run, but even if im there or not I want to raise money for everyone with CF as a whole, and I hope you will help me with this goal.
