Our dearest family and friends,
We hope this note finds you and your families happy and healthy in 2023. We are blessed to report that we are all doing well and enjoying the sunshine after the rainy winter! We pray peace and good health continue to follow you.
We again humbly ask for your support of our COWABUNGA CHAMP and the entire CF community.
Our Champ is super active and loves to ride his bike, surf and boogie board, swim, hike and play sports. He has added indoor skateboarding, playing team soccer, and learning piano to his activities.
A year ago, our Champ started taking the newest breakthrough CFTR-modulator therapy called Trikafta and has been responding well to it. While we don’t see many changes day to day, we really appreciated its impact after experiencing a couple of rough colds during the winter season. Trikafta had helped him loosen and clear out the mucus, which is really important because kids with CF are advised not to take typical cold medicines. We are deeply grateful for the progress Trikafta has made for our Champ and others in the CF community. We are confident that with continued investigation and support, better therapies and breakthrough medicines are yet to come.
Please know how much we appreciate your thoughtfulness and support. Feel free to spread the word by sending this note to your friends/co-workers/teammates/etc.
With waves of gratitude and oceans of love…
Team Cowabunga Champ
